Healing Family Ties, Saturday, December 19th @ 10am to 3pm

Most families experience some degree of tension and irritation (and sometimes even separation) because of past and present hurt feelings. Long-standing patterns of blame, unhappiness, and disconnection can be healed through various meditations that will be taught in this three-session retreat.

Gen Kelsang Chogdan, the Resident Teacher of KMC Maryland, will be guiding this retreat. Gen Chogdan is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center, Maryland. Gen Chogdan has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through her gentle and joyful approach and her peaceful example, she has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
