Why Me? A Buddhist Perspective on Karma with guest teacher, Gen Kelsang Demo

Saturday, September 14th, 10 am to 1:30 pm

Everybody wants to be happy and free from problems; these are our two basic wishes. However, due to lacking wisdom understanding karma, we misidentify the actual causes of suffering and remain trapped in a cycle of pain and dissatisfaction. By applying Buddha’s teachings on karma, we can discover the key to our own happiness and unlock our own potential for permanent freedom.  We will also be introduced to practices that help us purify our negative karma. This event is a perfect introduction to the Buddha’s teachings on cause and effect.

Gen Kelsang Demo is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Washington DC and the US Midwest National Spiritual Director. She is a long time student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and has been teaching for over 20 years.
