The perfect way to start (or end) the week. Learn basic meditation techniques and begin to develop your own practice. Meditation is simple from one point of view and yet there are many misconceptions about meditation.

Come learn basic Buddhist meditation and find some success in changing your own mind from stressed and unpeaceful to calm and positive. Energy and happiness come from a positive, clear mind.we all have that essence underneath our chronic busyness and distraction. All we need to do is learn to use our own mind to induce the good feelings we are always searching for in our complicated lives.

Each session includes a guided meditation. Everyone is Welcome! Great for beginners and experienced practitioners, alike!

Who is guiding the Meditation?

Shay Fletcher , is senior student in the Center’s In-Depth Study Program. She has been a practicing member of the Community for many years . She is retired ( early) and kindly manages the Center Social Media efforts. She is a perfect example of how to integrate Buddha’s teaching in a practical way into her daily life. Her calming and peaceful manner is quite conducive to helping others bring their mind to rest in meditation.
