powa ceremonyThis is held the first Sunday of the month. See calendar for specific times.

The purpose of doing Powa Ceremony is to lead countless deceased beings to the Pure Land of a Buddha. It is easy to understand that billions of beings, human and animal, die every day from so many different causes. We perform this practice on behalf of those who have recently died, traditionally within 49 days of their death. It is a beautiful practice appropriate for everyone. If you wish for us to perform this on behalf of someone who recently died, it is customary to bring offerings on behalf of the deceased and, if possible, a picture.
