Overcoming Anxiety :
Staying Relaxed and Focused in Chaotic Times
A Meditation Workshop with Buddhist nun Kelsang Kalden
Saturday June 17th
The ability to respond skillfully to feelings of stress and anxiety is essential for those who want to live in the modern world with a peaceful mind. By viewing our life and our potential in a positive light, we can maintain inner peace during stressful times, and even use anxiety-producing situations to learn deep lessons about the mind and how to maintain a peaceful heart. Using meditation to train in new understandings, we can free ourselves from these crippling states to be increasingly available to others and to ourselves.
Kelsang Kalden is an American Buddhist nun and the Resident Teacher of Keajra Kadampa Buddhist Center. She has been studying and practicing Kadampa Buddhism under the guidance and direction of renowned teacher Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, for many years. She is known for her loving kindness, sincere dedication to serving others, and for her boundless energy and good humor.
